South Bend Roller Derby is proud to feature some of the finest skating and non-skating officials in the Midwest! We’re always looking for new officials.

Do you love interpreting regulations and being pedantic? Maybe you would like refereeing! Do you love spreadsheets and have opinions about brands of pencils or pencil lead hardness? It sounds like you would be a great NSO!

Referees

Referees are the on-skates officials, ensuring rules are followed, the scores are accurate, and the skaters are competing safely. Up to 8 referees are required for each game.

Non-Skating Officials

Non-Skating Officials keep stats for the games and track the state of the game so that the rules can be enforced in real time. They track penalties, time jams, keep score, time penalties, track lineups, and more! Games typically need between 9 and 12 NSOs.
